Topic Options

Overview

Topic Options are custom options assigned to an observation topic dropdown field. Observation Topics are custom labels of dropdown fields that can be added to the Behavioral Based Observations screen. 

Accessing the Screen

Navigate to Configuration > Safety Setup > Topic Options from the main menu (Figure 1).

Adding a New Topic Option

From the Topic Options screen (Figure 2):

1. Click the Add New Record button (green box in Figure 2). An Add New popup window (Figure 3) will appear.
2. Select an Observation Topic from the dropdown. This is the topic the option created will be assigned to.
3. Enter a Description for the new topic option.
4. Check the box to make the option active in CV.
5. Select the Order By number to determine display order in the dropdown.
6. Click the Save button in the Add New window (Figure 3).

Editing a Topic Option

From the Topic Options screen (Figure 2):

1. Click the Edit icon (yellow box in Figure 2) next to the option. An Edit popup window will appear.
2. Make any needed edits.
3. Click the Save button.

Deleting an Topic Option

From the Topic Options screen (Figure 2):

1. Click the Delete icon (red box in Figure 2) next to the option.
2. Confirm deletion by clicking the Okay button.

Note: A topic option cannot be deleted if it is being used in a safety form.
