The Close Out Dates module sets an end point to editing Jobs in order to prevent modification which could cause accounting errors. Once a Close Out Date is set users will no longer be able to add any item with a cost, some examples include Adding and scheduling of pieces, labor, loads and scheduling of cranes.
Please note: Once a Close Out Date is added, it cannot be modified or deleted. If you find yourself needing to re-open editing of Jobs created prior to the last Close Out Date, simply add another Close Out Date with a date in the future. Once editing is no longer wanted just add a new Close Out Date prior to today's date.
You access the Close Out Dates screen from the Accounting menu, shown below (see Figure 1)

- Click the “Add New Record” button from the main Close Out Dates screen (see the Green box in Figure 2) to open the Close Out Date Add window (see Figure 3).
- Select or enter a date
- Enter a reason.
- To add the close out date and immediately migrate back to the main close out date screen click the “Update” button on the Add screen (see the Green box in Figure 3).
