The Estimate Header module is used to define header names as parent categories for estimate sections (see Reference). This allows the addition of estimate sections (ex. Labor Cost) categorized by an Estimate Header (ex. Plant).

You access the Estimate Headers screen from the Configuration > Accounting sub-menu, shown below.

The Estimate Headers screen (see Figure 2) is where you can edit, delete, add, and view estimate headers.

Click the "Add new record" button from the main Estimate Headers screen (see the Green box in Figure 2) to open the Estimate Headers Add Item window (see Figure 3).
- Enter an Estimate Header Name.
- Enter the order by.
- Click on the “Update” button to Add the new Estimate Header (see the Green box in Figure 3).
Edit Estimate Header
Click on the “edit” button to the left the Estimate Header you’d like to edit (see the Orange box in Figure 2) this will bring up the Edit Item window (see Figure 4).

- You can change the Estimate Header Name.
- You can change the order by.
- Click on the “Update” button to Save your changes (see the Green box in Figure 5).
Remove Estimate Header

- Click the "delete" button in the corresponding row of the Estimate Header you wish to remove (see Red box in Figure 5). Please note: You cannot delete an Estimate Header if it is in use
- Click "OK" in the dialogue box that appears to confirm you wish to delete the record.
