The Unit Types module is where units of measure used throughout the Concrete Vision application are defined. Examples would include units of currency (Dollars, Euros and Pounds)(See Below Figure 2, Reference 1), units of time (Hours, Days, Months and Weeks), and units of weight (Pounds, Kilos and Tons).
Reference 1: Production Material Items
You access the Unit Types screen from the Configuration > Accounting Setup sub-menu, shown below.

The Unit Types screen (see Figure 3) is where you can edit, delete, add, and view unit types.

Click the "Add new record" button from the main Unit Types screen (see the Green box in Figure 3) to open the Unit Types Add Item window (see Figure 4).
- Enter a Code.
- Enter a Small Description.
- Enter a Description.
- Specify if the new Unit Type will be used as an "Estimate Unit"
- Specify if the new Unit Type will be used as a "Phase Unit"
- Specify if the new Unit Type will be used for "Purchase Qty Only"
- Enter the order by.
- Click on the “Update” button to Add the new Unit Type (see the Green box in Figure 4).
Edit Unit Type
Click on the “edit” button to the left the Unit Type you’d like to edit (see the Orange box in Figure 3) this will bring up the Edit Item window (see Figure 5).

- You can change the Code. (Note: You cannot change a Unit Types' "Code" if it is in use)
- You can change the Small Description.
- You can change the Description.
- Specify if this Unit Type will be used as an "Estimate Unit"
- Specify if this Unit Type will be used as a "Phase Unit"
- Specify if this Unit Type will be used for "Purchase Qty Only"
- You can change the order by.
- Click on the “Update” button to Save your changes (see the Green box in Figure 5).
Remove Unit Type

- Click the "delete" button in the corresponding row of the Unit Type you wish to remove (see Red box in Figure 6). Please note: You cannot delete a Unit Type if it is in use
- Click "OK" in the dialogue box that appears to confirm you wish to delete the record.
