The Pay Rate Adjustment module is used to define a code and set a description for pay rate adjustments. These pay rate adjustments can be assigned to a labor department (Reference 1) by using the Department Pay Rate Adjustment module (Figure 2, Reference 2).

You access the Pay Rate Adjustment module from the Accounting > Employee Setup menu (Figure 1).

The created Pay Rate Adjustments are available as options for assignment via the Department Pay Rate Adjustment module
(Figure 2).

The Pay Rate Adjustment screen (Figure 3) is where you can view, add and edit Pay Rate Adjustments.

Adding a new Pay Rate Adjustment
To add a new Pay Rate Adjustment, click the “Add new record” button (Green box Figure 3 top left). This will open the Add New dialog window.

- Enter the Code as a unique character code. (10 character maximum)
- Enter a Description/Name for the Pay Rate Adjustment. (50 character maximum)
- Select the Type of pay adjustment.
- No Change
- Flate Rate
- Dollar Rate
- Percent Rate Increase
- Enter the Amount
- To add the Pay Rate Adjustment click the “Update” button on the Add New dialog (see the Green box in Figure 4).
Editing an existing Pay Rate Adjustment
To edit an existing Pay Rate Adjustment, click the “Edit” button (Orange box Figure 3 to the left of the Pay Rate Adjustment you’d like to modify). This will open the edit dialog window (Figure 5).

Please note that in-use Pay Rate Adjustments Codes are Not editable. - Edit the Description/Name for the Pay Rate Adjustment. (50 character maximum)

- To update the Pay Rate Adjustment click the “Update” button on the Add New dialog (see the Green box in Figure 5).
Deleting a Pay Rate Adjustment
To delete any Pay Rate Adjustment, click the “X” button (Red box Figure 6) for the corresponding row of the Pay Rate Adjustment you wish to delete.
Pay Rate Adjustments cannot be deleted if associated with any Department Pay Rate Adjustment.
