You can access this screen via the "Engineering > View/Edit Job Material" screen as shown below:

This screen allows you to enter and maintain estimated job material, view (import) actual material (to compare against estimated), and lastly, create job-specific material items and assemblies to consume from the "View/Edit Production Material" screen.
The screen is separated into 3 different tabs, based on material type (Production, CIP and Erection - see buttons 1-3 in Figure 2).
Before adding and/or editing any material, make sure you select the correct job and are under the correct tab for the material being added/edited ("Production", "CIP" or "Erection" - tabs 1-3 in Figure 2).
Adding Standard Estimated Material
To add standard estimated material to the job, you can follow the steps listed below:
- Fill out the form at the top of the grid (row next to button 4 in Figure 1). The plant is used to filter out the actual quantities coming in from production (imported via the "Refresh Act. Qty" button described at the bottom of this article).
- Click on "Add" (button 4 in Figure 2).

Adding Custom Estimated Material
To add custom estimated material to the job, you can follow the steps listed below:
- Either click on the "Create Job Specific Item" or the "Create Job Specific Assembly" buttons (refer to Figure 3, buttons 1 and 2).
- This will open up the appropriate modal window (Figure 4 or Figure 5), which will allow you to enter the desired custom material. Required fields are in red and material number must be unique across the job. If this material is plant specific, it can be specified by selecting the appropriate plant.
- To add assembly sub items to an assembly, click on the "Add Sub Assembly Item" button (button 1 in Figure 5)
- Once finished, clicking on "Create" (button 1 in Figure 4) will close out and save the entered material to the job. Any custom production material added will also be available to be selected from the piece marks material screen.

List Commands
Below is a brief description of the material-level (list) screen commands (Please refer to Figure 2 for the button numbers).
- Button 5 (Delete) - This is the delete button that allows you to delete a specific material item/assembly.
- Button 6 (Edit ) - This button allows you to edit the corresponding job specific material item or assembly.
- Button 7 (Assembly Export) - Clicking on this button will export the corresponding job specific material assembly into Excel.
- Button 8 (Expand Assembly Detail) - This button allows you to expand and see the components that make up a material assembly on the screen.
Updating Quantities from Actual Production Material
At any time, while in the "Production" material tab (tab 1 in Figure 2), you can refresh estimated materials and actual quantities by clicking on the "Refresh Act. Qty" button (button 3 in Figure 3). This button will update the actual material quantities from production and also add any standard material from production that does not currently exit under the job estimated material list.
