Overview
A Product Code Assembly is a group of individual parts or cost items tied to a specific Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) code. It is used in estimating to bundle materials, labor, or tasks together so they can be tracked, sorted, and priced as a single unit.
Accessing the Product Code Assemblies (WBS) Screen
Navigate to Accounting > Inventory > Product Code Assemblies (WBS) from the main menu (Figure 1).

Using the Product Code Assemblies (WBS) Screen
The Product Code Assemblies (WBS) screen (Figure 2) is where a product code assembly is added, edited, or removed from Concrete Vision.
Sorting the Product Code Assembly Table
** The currently selected heading to sort by will have the sort by icon next to it (
)
- Click any of the column headings (orange box in Figure 2) to sorted the table by that headings category.
- Click the same heading again to change the sort by function to be descending instead of the default ascending.

** Searching and clearing the filter leaves the current screen. Save all changes before completing one of these actions.
- Click the Filter button (purple box in Figure 3) to open the filter menu (Figure 3) to search for specific results.
- You can enter, change, and select any of the inputs/items to obtain specific results or fewer.
- To clear/reset the filter, click the Clear button (red box in Figure 3).
- To re-generate the table using the filter, click the Search button (green box in Figure 3).
- To close/hide the filter, click the Filter button again (purple box in Figure 3).

Add a Product Code Assembly
To add a product code assembly from the Product Code Assemblies (WBS) screen, click the Add New button (green box in Figure 2).
- Select a product category.
- Select a product code.
- Enter a description.
- Select a unit of measure.
- Check the box to make the label editable.
- Check the box to make the quantity editable.
- Check the Active checkbox to make the product code assembly active in CV.
- To add the product code assembly and migrate to the edit screen of the newly added product code assembly, click the Save button (green box in Figure 4).
- To add the product code assembly and migrate back to the main screen, click the Save & Close button (red box in Figure 4).

Edit a Product Code Assembly
From the Product Code Assemblies (WBS) screen (Figure 2):
- Click the Edit icon (yellow box in Figure 2)
- Update any of the input values.
- Click the Save button or Save and Close button to save changes.
Note: If you don't click on either the Save or Save and Close button and navigate off this screen, your changes will be lost.
Delete a Product Code Assembly
From the Product Code Assemblies (WBS) screen (Figure 2):
- Click the Delete button in the corresponding row of the Item to remove (red box in Figure 2).
- Click the OK button in the dialogue box that appears to confirm deletion of the record.
Note: You can only delete a product code assembly if it is not in use
Working with the WBS Breakdown
View a Product Code Assembly
By clicking the Folder icon next to a Product Code Assembly, the WBS can be viewed. This screen is where the individual materials, labors, and tasks are added to define the Product Code Assembly’s Work Breakdown Structure. From the Product Code Assemblies (WBS) screen (Figure 2):
- Click the Folder icon (teal/cyan box in Figure 2) beside the product code assembly detail to view.
- The Product Code Assemblies (WBS) - View screen will load (Figure 5).

Add a Product Code Assembly Detail Item
To add a detail item to the product code assembly, begin on the Product Code Assemblies - View screen (Figure 5).
- Fill out the first row across the top of the table (purple box in Figure 5), moving from left to right.
- Select an accounting category.
- Select an accounting item.
- Select a Calculation multiplier.
- Check boxes that apply to this PCA item:
- O.H.: Include overhead costs
- Profit: Include profit.
- Use: Include use tax.
- Sales: Include sales tax
- Check boxes to make fields editable:
- Label: label
- Qty: quantity
- Unit: unit
- Mat: material
- Lab: labor
- Ert/Fld: erection / field
- Truck: trucking
- Other
- To add the PCA detail item, click the Plus icon (purple arrow in Figure 5).
- Click the Save button (green box in Figure 5) to save the information, or click the Save & Close button (red box in Figure 5) to save the information and return to the previous screen.
Note: When an accounting category and an accounting item are selected from the dropdowns, the unit and cost should autofill. If not, the accounting categories (Accounting > Categories) and accounting items (Accounting > Inventory > Item Setup) may not be set up.
Edit a Product Code Assembly Detail Item
From the Product Code Assemblies - View screen (Figure 5):
- Update any of the input values.
- Click the Save button (green box in Figure 5) to save the information, or click the Save & Close button (red box in Figure 5) to save the information and return to the previous screen.
Delete a Product Code Assembly Detail Item
From the Product Code Assemblies - View screen (Figure 5):
- Click the Delete button in the corresponding row of the PCA Detail Item to delete (red box in Figure 5).
- Click the OK button in the dialogue box that appears to confirm deletion of the record.
