Overview
The Item Cost Table is used to assign a base cost, unit of measure, and cost type to items. That item cost is then linked to an Item's setup (Accounting > Inventory > Item Setup) through the Cost Link.
Accessing the Item Cost Table Screen
Navigate to Accounting > Inventory > Item Cost Table from the main menu (Figure 1).

The Item Cost Table screen (Figure 2) is where you can edit, delete, add, and view item costs.

Add to the Item Cost Table
To add an item cost to the Item Cost Table screen (Figure 2):
- Click the Add New button (green box in Figure 2). The Item Cost Table Add / Edit screen (Figure 3) will load.
- Select a Cost Type from the dropdown.
- Select a Unit of Measure from the dropdown.
- Enter a name for the item cost in the Name field.
- Enter the Base Cost.
- Mark the checkbox to make it active in CV.
- Click the Save button (green box in Figure 3) to save the item or the Save & Close button (red box in Figure 3) to save the item and return to the previous screen.

Edit an Item Cost
To edit an existing item cost on the Item Cost Table screen (Figure 2):
- Click the Edit icon (yellow box in Figure 2) next to the item cost name to edit. The Item Cost Table Add / Edit screen (Figure 4) will appear.
- Make edits to any needed fields.
- Click the Save button (green box in Figure 4) to save the item or the Save & Close button (red box in Figure 4) to save the item and return to the previous screen.

Delete an Item Cost
To delete an existing item cost on the Item Cost Table screen (Figure 2):
- Click the Delete icon (red box in Figure 2) next to the item cost name to delete. The Item Cost Table Add / Edit screen (Figure 4) will appear.
- Click the OK button in the dialogue box that appears to confirm deletion of the record.
Note: If an item costs is being used in CV, the Delete icon will be greyed out and the item cost cannot be deleted.
Exporting the Item Cost Table
To export the item cost table from the Item Cost Table screen (Figure 2):
- Click the Export button (purple box in Figure 2). The item cost table will download as a .xls.
Additional Features of the Cost Table Add / Edit Screen
- Change currently inspected item by clicking Next or Previous buttons (yellow boxes in Figure 4).
- Some items have an additional table of sub-items and costs (orange box in Figure 4).

- Click any of the headings (orange boxes in Figure 5) to sort the table by that headings category.
- Click the same heading again to change the sort by function to be descending instead of the default ascending.

** searching and clearing the filter leaves the current screen, so ensure you have saved all changes you wish to keep before completing one of these actions.
Click the Filter button (purple box in Figure 5) on the Item Cost Table screen to open the filter menu (Figure 6) to search for specific results
- You can enter, change, and select any of the inputs/items to obtain specific results or fewer.
- To clear/reset a current filter, click the Clear button (red box in Figure 6).
- To re-generate the table using the filter, click the Search button (green box in Figure 6).
- To close/hide the filter, click the Filter button again (purple box in Figure 6).
